So it has been almost a year since I have updated my blog.
And actually, I had cometely forgotten about it until I got an
email from someone asking about it. Since I was completely
and utterly bored out of my mind, I decided to finally update it(:.
My family is doing great. We are spending most of our time just
crabbing, and kayaking. We catch enough crabs a week to have
crabcakes every Sunday(: At the beginning of this next school year,
Gracie will be entering 2nd grade, Marshall will be entering 5th grade,
and I will be entering 8th grade. Asa will be stuck at home left
to make my moms life crazy, exciting, and well..... Hectic(: In a few days
(eleven to be exact) I will be leaving to go to Utah for 21 days on my
own, staying at my aunts house. It will be so much fun!! So that is
basically what's been going on with my family these days(:
I don't think I have it on here, so I thought I might just let you
know that if you haven't added me yet, you can add me on facebook

This is a story about a girl, who is now in LOVE with a vampire movie. It all started when an author named Stephenie Meyer was born.She ended up writing the twilight series. Little did she know that her first accomplishment, Twilight, would change lives. On Saturday morning, a girl went to her friends house all day. She came back, and her mother had borrowed Twilight from the library, and while her siblings watched Bolt, she spent some of the best two hours of her life in front of a TV screen. She stood in suspense, as James almost brought Bella to death. She had wide eyes while Carlisle bit Edward. She enjoyed every minute of the movie. She is officially now... On Monday, my guidance counselor gave me a packet that could change my life. It was the application for Meadowbrook. I was SOOOO happy. But, my parents aren't so sure. It is a very advanced school. For example, we study 9 and 10th grade math in seventh grade. It has very strict criteria. Here it Is:

Criterion 1
Pass all fifth grade SOL tests
successfully complete all elementary school subjects with an average of C+ or better.
Upon acceptance, maintain a 3.0 GPA at the end of each semester.
Maintain 95% of attendance an punctuality rates.

Criterion 2
submit two teacher recommendations from two different teachers. One of the recommendations must be from the mathematics teacher. If the student has the same teacher for Mathematics and English, the second recommendation must be from one of the following teachers: Art, Music, or Physical Education. If the student has two different teachers for Mathematics and English, the recommendations must come from the Mathematics and English teachers.
Submit on recommendation from a community Representative. The guidance counselor cannot complete this recommendation. A community Representative is defined as someone, not employed by Norfolk Public Schools or related to the student,who has worked with the student in a supervisory capacity.
submit a copy of the latest report card.
Submit a signed and dated student and parent/ guardian Admissions Agreement Contract.
Submit an essay in the students own handwriting( may be print or in cursive). The essay should be the students own work.
As you can see, this is a very strict, very hard, very good school. It is also difficult to get into. I really want this. Please give me your support!!!!!

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:) I am soo happy. Today the first issue of my school newspaper came out, and I wrote two whole pages. I did more work on it then anybody. I ended up doing five whole, complete, fulfilled articles. I even helped my editors-in-come up with their topic. This is the first of many issues to come. Me and the paper staff are very dedicated to making sure this paper is the best it can be. We pretty much take
over the whole darn paper. We take control and make things perfect. Our teacher even
said " I've been teaching this class for 3 years, and I know that this issue will be the best we have had yet."

For my birthday (which if you read my mom's blog you would have seen), my
mom gave me $100.00 , and I got twenty from Courtney ( thanks), and ten from
my grandmother. My mother let me take a day off from school to go shopping:) Once we got to the mall, it was business. We hit Areopostale ( airropostal)first, because I had gift cards there. Thanks Isabelle and Taylor. I got three tee-shirts ( one gray, one blue, one green), a purse,and a ( gray ) over-shirt. Next, we visited Limited too. I got two Webkinz ( the rhino,and leopard). I went to Pacsun and got a Volcom hoodie and gray skinny jeans. We went to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I got the chef salad and ( some kind ) of cheesecake. The last store we went to was Claire's. I got BIG yellow earring, peace sign earrings, and red checked earrings. We called it a day. All right, I gotta give school some credit. We read this book called
"Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech. As our finishing-the-book-project,
we had to make a scrapbook... piece of cake, right!? All I have to say is, if that is
a piece of cake, then then eating cake must be an Olympic sport or something.

I spent a minimum of 35 hours on it. If it doesn't get an "A," I'll go CRAZY!!

Have you heard of the new game speed stacks? It has 12 cups, and you have to stack them up with the correct hand and pattern. It is very precise. There are world records for this game . The world record holder is 16 years old, and she is the current speed stacks world champion. This game comes with a DVD (instruction video), Some come with a stack mat, Some have timer, 12 cups, and a whole lot of fun:) Even gracie loves speed stacks. It tests mostly your reflexes, and mentel skills. Its a great family game , an awesome single game, and great for just plain old building!!!!!

You know all of those little dolls that we used to love when we were little, that would look exactly like you? Remember how you would always wish for a twin sister? Well today, I got my old dream ( Sort of). While I was outside this afternoon, my sister said, " Harley, I just want to be like you". I thought that ws really cute, so I decided to take it a step further. I told her that I would give her lessons on how to be like me. Somday I know I will regret this, but she seemed so happy to get started, and thrilled to be an " Older" girl. I taught her how to, walk, sit, jog, and speed run. I have to give it to her, she is one fast learner. Now, she has in her head that I should blog about her, and that she should email my friends, and hers. So if you get any emails that arent from me, Don't be freaked out. I know that I should be upset that now I have a sudden shadow doing exactly what I do, but her happiness is contagious!!!

Have you heard of the Gregor the Overlander series by Susan Collins? They are books about o boy, his sister and thier father. His sister ( Boots) And him fall through a hole in the landry room in their apartment. They travel through a world of bats use for transpotation, Giant talking cocroaches, 6 foot tall rats, Talking spider, and many more strange creatures. Gregor is the

" Warrior" in this guy Sandwiches prophesies. In book 1, he saves his dad from the rats. In book 2, he tries to keep his sister safe, and kill a rat. Thats as far as I have gotten. The books average to about 300 pages. They are action filled, fun packed, and are bound to keep you wanting for more. I could only get three of the many Gregor books, ( In pictures). The books are found at most librarys, ( I think), but I KNOW they are at the Pretlow branch library.

I Luv HSM. I'll give u a quick overview of #2. So it starts off as summertime. They sing the song, " What time is it?" Before they leave. Sharpay tries to steal Troy away from Gabriella. That almost worked. Sharpay didn't like getting dumped.

They sing the songs " Bet on it", " Work this out", " I gotta go my own way", " All for one" , " Fabulous", " You are the music in me", " You are the music in me (Sharpay Version)" And last but not least " Hummahummanuknukaappawha". Troy's girlfriend Gabriella Is sweet, shy, one of the main characters in one of the schools plays, and a math freak. Troy is the jock of the school, leads his team to the basketball championships, is one of the stars in one of the schools productions ( With Gabriella in # 1), and happens to be the school heartthrob. Sharpay is Popular, the star of all the schools past plays, ( 17) , mad at Gabriella, evil, selfish, and determined to get Troy. Monique is quiet, funny, smart, has good advice, and is dating a member of the schools basketball team, Chad. Chad is Troys best friend, dosn't like the whole singing thing at first, and is dating monique. Zeke is Semi- dating Sharpay, bakes, and is on the schools basketball team. Last but not least, theres Ryan. he is Sharpays Brother, but dosn't like being rude, likes Gabriella, and plays really good baseball. So there you have it, the Overview of HSM:)
