On Monday, my guidance counselor gave me a packet that could change my life. It was the application for Meadowbrook. I was SOOOO happy. But, my parents aren't so sure. It is a very advanced school. For example, we study 9 and 10th grade math in seventh grade. It has very strict criteria. Here it Is:

Criterion 1
Pass all fifth grade SOL tests
successfully complete all elementary school subjects with an average of C+ or better.
Upon acceptance, maintain a 3.0 GPA at the end of each semester.
Maintain 95% of attendance an punctuality rates.

Criterion 2
submit two teacher recommendations from two different teachers. One of the recommendations must be from the mathematics teacher. If the student has the same teacher for Mathematics and English, the second recommendation must be from one of the following teachers: Art, Music, or Physical Education. If the student has two different teachers for Mathematics and English, the recommendations must come from the Mathematics and English teachers.
Submit on recommendation from a community Representative. The guidance counselor cannot complete this recommendation. A community Representative is defined as someone, not employed by Norfolk Public Schools or related to the student,who has worked with the student in a supervisory capacity.
submit a copy of the latest report card.
Submit a signed and dated student and parent/ guardian Admissions Agreement Contract.
Submit an essay in the students own handwriting( may be print or in cursive). The essay should be the students own work.
As you can see, this is a very strict, very hard, very good school. It is also difficult to get into. I really want this. Please give me your support!!!!!

My teacher

i gave my teacher my blog address so i am talking in terrible english ( shes my english teacher) but i am talking about her me teacher ms peck is my fifth grade english teacher she gave me a real scare when the final grades were in she put in a b but it was a a if she aint commentin dis, den i no she didnt read dis dats code words for leve a comment mrs peck i wonder if it bothers her dat i am using bad english actually i kinda like it just in case in bothers her i will flatter her she is probably my fave teacher if u look at my fave blog list u will sea dat i added a new one it is birdwalkers me and my friends made it about mrs pecks blue reading group if u get an chance visit it but if u have a weak stomach have just eaten or are eating den dont dont say i didnt warn u.

YES!!! it finally happened...

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:) I am soo happy. Today the first issue of my school newspaper came out, and I wrote two whole pages. I did more work on it then anybody. I ended up doing five whole, complete, fulfilled articles. I even helped my editors-in-come up with their topic. This is the first of many issues to come. Me and the paper staff are very dedicated to making sure this paper is the best it can be. We pretty much take
over the whole darn paper. We take control and make things perfect. Our teacher even
said " I've been teaching this class for 3 years, and I know that this issue will be the best we have had yet."

For my birthday (which if you read my mom's blog you would have seen), my
mom gave me $100.00 , and I got twenty from Courtney ( thanks), and ten from
my grandmother. My mother let me take a day off from school to go shopping:) Once we got to the mall, it was business. We hit Areopostale ( airropostal)first, because I had gift cards there. Thanks Isabelle and Taylor. I got three tee-shirts ( one gray, one blue, one green), a purse,and a ( gray ) over-shirt. Next, we visited Limited too. I got two Webkinz ( the rhino,and leopard). I went to Pacsun and got a Volcom hoodie and gray skinny jeans. We went to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I got the chef salad and ( some kind ) of cheesecake. The last store we went to was Claire's. I got BIG yellow earring, peace sign earrings, and red checked earrings. We called it a day.
